partneringWorking together means winning together

Of the thousands of Non Profit Organizations working in East Africa, few are making a significant impact outside of their immediate area of influence. Millions of dollars and a wealth of talent and experience go wasted because of organizational focus. The Liberty Institute is seeking to change that dynamic.

Education: There are many who raise funds to build schools and orphanages. Some of these go empty or are poorly run because no one helps to staff or operate them. Some organizations work to train and recruit teachers and others provide the teaching materials.

Medical: Many doctors and nurses give of their time to help the needy but when they leave there is a great void. Some organizations like to build buildings and clinics; others donate the equipment needed while still others provide the medicines. There are even organizations which recruit and train medical teams to work in these clinics.

Agriculture: Many NGO's provide help in rural agriculture, but, then how does the farmer get his produce to market? Who processes and stores the food for long term use and sales? This requires non-profits in the transportation and manufacturing sector to work with those in farming and dairy.

Technical: The business man cannot start his business because there are no local funds. The banker cannot lend money because there is no security. The business cannot be started for lack of trained workers in its sector. The transportation infrastructure is limited so raw materials cannot be brought in and finished goods shipped to market.

Who helps bring all of these entities together?

The Liberty Institute of Advocates for Peace and Justice is building an organization to bring all of these NGO's and businesses together to help create the infrastructure needed, as well as to facilitate the efforts in each sector. By working together we can have a much greater impact on the countries we are seeking to serve.
